On Wednesday, May 25th the Atlanta City Council's Finance and Executive committee is meeting at 1:00pm to discuss the proposed land swap of Bobby Jones Golf Course to exchange it for a parking deck and the old World of Coke building. The city negotiated with the purchaser of underground to allow these properties to be a condition precedent before the buyer had an obligation to proceed. The state has requested the golf course in exchange for these properties. The city has requested a conservation easement be placed on the park property, but the resolution allows for a parking deck, a driving range (thus implying a 9-hole course) and converting the clubhouse into a museum. If you have an objection to this, please attend the meeting on Wednesday at 1:00pm
A public meeting has been announced for Friday, June 3rd at 3:00pm at the Bobby Jones Clubhouse by Yolanda Adrean.
